LSU-LongHorn Baby Quilt

Above is the "Texas-Cajun Quilt" it is a Take 5 by "The Teacher's Pet".  It was so easy, just must watch  not to sew same fabrics together.  I am waiting on a panto with helmets and football so I can start quilting next week.  I will load today and then start piecing the next quilt.

It has been very busy this week, but I still met my commitment to my sewing.  Having my schedule with deadlines keep me on track. Now if I can squeeze in the house chores and cooking, I will have it all.
 Happy Quilting!!!

Sunday Planning

Saturday I completed my schedule for 2013 - 2014 quilting and calendar to start taking in quilts from others.  I realized I had a mountain of personal quilting ahead me and that I might actually get some completed this year, that is if I stay on the schedule I layed out.  I work best with deadlines so I think this schedule which includes Quilting, piecing, house work, cooking and exercising will work for me.  It looks so good on paper - I will let you know how it works out.

My current project is a Baby Quilt for my DH great nephew.  The mother is an LSU Alumni and the father is a Texas Longhorn Fan.  Since I am from Louisiana, one side will be "Take 5" in LSU prints and and lots of piecing and the other side will be a single piece of fabric that appears to be pieced with Long Horns.  See the LH fabric below.  SNL - Grandmother thinks the black will be better than the white and I agree, since it has "HOOKEM HORNS".  I should have a finished top by Friday.  Will post next weekend.

Happy Quilting!!!

Table Runner!

I am so excited to share this table runner I recently made for by SNL.   It was such fun to make.  I love the stack and wack method used, it went very fast.  Then it was quilted on a DM.  I also made 8 place mats to match.  Her BF daughters' love it.  I think I will focus on place mats and table runners.  Fast Fun and Gorgeous.

Hello All,

This is my first post and still trying to learn this program.  I have been quilting for 15 years and have learned a lot of techniques.  I have owned my Longarm AKA Funny Face for 2 years and have quilting over 10 quilts.  Now I have learned and practiced enought to come out and show you some of my work.  This was my first attempt at free had fill.  This was was a baby gift from a friend.
